Gängeviertel Hamburg
On August 22, 2009, we came to the Gängeviertel to save it from decay and demolition and to create a space in downtown Hamburg where new things can emerge. Since then, tens of thousands of guests from all over the world have visited exhibitions, concerts, parties and readings or discussed urban development. In June of this year we took a big step with the city of Hamburg to secure the future of the district. The gang quarter should be a free space for everyone! Everyone is welcome with us. We are many and we are becoming more every day. We are the city, because: We are all the city.
