Merlijn Twaalfhoven is composer and author of the book It is up to us – why we need the artist in ourselves to save the world. He creates an active session in which we explore our own capacities to deal with the clusterfuck of our time. How can we embrace uncertainty and navigate through a fluid and changing world? Let’s explore how you can stay sane and activate your idealism with an artist mindset.

Merlijn is the founder of The Turn Club, a collaboration of art professionals, change agents and bridge builders, and co-initiator of the Social Creative Council in The Netherlands, a lobby club for new values and imagination. Het created music projects in refugee camps and across dividing lines in Cyprus, Palestine and Syria, seeking to find fresh and connecting roles for the participants and redefine their relationships towards each other.
